I’m a Canadian writer originally from the west-coast of Canada, Vancouver Island. Moving from Canada my residence is now Ibaraki Prefecture Japan, where I work as an English teacher. This site serves as an extension to my YouTube channel DaveTrippin. You’ll find writing here on such a variety of topics that I hesitate to say this site functions with one specific goal in mind. It is another medium of expression, and whatever that means, is enough for me. For those not fully satisfied with the depth this site’s rabbit hole of writing provides, my novella StoneHeart is available for purchase and as well to anyone who supports me on my patreon.

I thought it was some of the most interesting research I’ve heard of recently coming out of our new ability to “see” the brain in action and new knowledge about the vagus nerve.

Hello there, I love to see fellow writers of longer works getting into the blog sphere. What progress have you made on the Dark Mirror novels if I may ask? Are any of them completed?

The outline is complete, although I add additional notes if I get some inspiration for a creative way to enrich the plot. I have written 40k words and expect each to require roughly 120k… A few more to go 😉 To hone my skill I thought it a good idea to get out a few short stories that are bouncing around my head as well. Thanks for visiting my blog! I wish the best with writing and publishing your novels, short stories, poems and what you are working on. I wish I had better writing skills, because I have 5 books that I have wrote, but not chose to publish yet (wouldn’t want to put an editor through hell) lol …
Of all the talents and abilities I possess, literary capabilities is not one…
Eventually, I will have them published, and when I feel (after the editors attack) -they can still represent my words and message through the readers understanding.
BEING ANALYTICAL IS THE WORSTE FOR WRITING…. EVEN 1 SENTENCE! Grammatical, and all that aside, it is the WORDS that drive me crazy because of all the potential interpretations and lack of precise meaning to most of the words….
I think I just proved my point! lol
Anyway, thanks again for introducing to your blog, I look forward to reading more and possibly gain some writing skills.
